Representing the community on issues that matter most to them at Federal Parliamanet and advocating to Parliamentarians on their behalf. Travelling up to Canberra for the National General Assembly of Local Government provided for opportunity to meet with Federal Parliamentarians.
Cr Celi was able to advocate to Parliamentarians on issues that included:

Changes to Open Air Burning for land under 1500sq metres

Ban on "as of right" open air burning for properties less than 1500sqm will now come into effect for the residents of the Mornington Peninsula. Promoting community safety, health & Wellbeing initiatives.
Reduced Waste Tipping Fees at the Gate by $3

The community has lobbied Council for a long while to do something about managing the cost of waste tipping fees at the gate, in particular for hard waste. A petition of over 1700 signatures was tabled at Council for action.
