How to Save Money at the Tip Gate
|
Sort out your rubbish and SAVE money at the tip!
By sorting out your recyclable products and placing them separately on top of your trailer BEFORE you arrive at the tip gate you will save money on the trailer load. Many recyclable items are accepted for FREE like:
- White goods (not fridges);
- Aluminium;
- Glass bottles and jars;
- Newspaper and cardboard; Car oil (domestic quantities);
- Car batteries & paint (domestic quantities);
- Computer equipment including monitors and televisions;
- household Recyclables;
- E-Waste;
- Steel Goods;
- Hot water services
- Bike.
Residents are charged by the amount of material taken to the tip, so by putting the recyclables that are accepted FREE on top of the trailer the staff can then work out the amount of FREE recyclables you have and then charge you for the rest of the hard waste rubbish only. This will help you save money. If you don't sort your recyclables out before you get to the tip gate then you will be charged for the whole trailer load at the gate or you are given the opportunity to sort it out yourself at the tip gate so you can save money
