A Joint Select Committee on Constitutional Recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples has been selected and appointed to look into and provide information on the best way forward in implementing a successful referendum on Indigenous constitutional recognition. As part of this inquiry the Committee has been asked to take into consideration the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples Recognition Bill 2012. It is desirable that a multi-partisan Parliamentary approach is established so that the passage of the Bill through Parliament is supported. To make a submission to the Committee click on this link.
