The MAV have responded to an opinion piece article in the Herald Sun. THe article totally misinforms ratepayers about Council rate collection and the mechanism of rate revaluation.... "Unlike land taxes, which give the State Government extra income when property values rise, revaluations do not give councils extra rates revenue – it is revenue neutral."
