Roads to Recovery Grant of $1.5M from the Federal Government for

Broadway, Capel Sound Road Construction

After many years of receiving community feedback about the appalling condiition of the road on Broadyway, Capel Sound and lodging that feedback into the Shire system,  I am very pleased to say that Council has received a Roads to Recovery Grant of $1.5M towards major works to repair and improve the road. 

Project Description: The existing pavement frequently suffers from water pooling and potholing issues. The water pooling issues are exacerbated the deterioration of the pavement and the pavements substructure. There is also a significant amount of edge breaking due to the narrow pavement width.

What will be fixed:  The kerb and channel, drainage improvements, and minor road widening.

By when will it be fixed: completed by February, 2022 if not sooner.
